Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wayland were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. Wood in Culpeper.
Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Devers and family of Front Royal were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Devers. They were joined in the afternoon by Mr. and Mrs. George Devers and Miss Dina Marchi, also of Front Royal.
Sunday visitors of Miss Barbara Swindler were Mrs. Mary Lawson and Dr. and Mrs. Arnold Sullivan of College Park, Md.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Maury Brown were Mrs. Phyliss Shirey, Mrs. Jean Konek and children Robin, Joey and John, and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Williams, all of Richmond. On Saturday they visited Arlington National Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Ward Gussford of Williamsport, Md. were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers. They were joined on Sunday by Mr. and Mrs. Dutton Yowell of Etlan, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers of Flint Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Nethers and family of Stephen City and Mrs. John Coates and daughter, Marsha of Wood berry Forest. Attendance Record
The record of attendance at Rappahannock County Elementary School for the month of February showed the school as a whole with 94%, and the seventh grade class under James Wayland as the leading class with 98% attendance. Mrs. Annie Cooke’s seventh grade class was second with 97.6% followed closely by Miss Elsie Dodson’s fourth graders with 97.5%. Other standings were Miss Dorothy Spicer’s first graders with 97.3% and Mrs. Anne Keyser’s sixth grade class with 97.2%. The third graders instructed by Mrs. Jessie Miller Turner had 95.7% and Mrs. J. M. Biggs’ fifth grade class stood at 95.6%. In Mrs. Nancy Lambert’s second grade the percentage was 94.6%.
