OBITUARIES

Miss Dolly Hite

Miss Mary Elizabeth (Dol)y) Hite died Wednesday, March 19, 1969 at City Hospital in Thomasville, North Carolina. She was a native of Rappahannock County and lived here until about ten years ago. Miss Hite was bom at Mont Medi, the daughter of Cornelius Randolph Hite and Elizabeth Starks Hite. She had of recent years been making her home with a niece, Mrs. W. Howard Palmer, Thomasville.

She is also survived by a niece, Mrs. Kennith Gordon of Front Royal, and Mrs. C. R. Hite of Rappahannock County was a sister-in-law.

Miss Hite was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington, Va.; a member of Rappahannock County Garden Club and of the Colonial Dames of Virginia. She was well known as the author of “My Rappahannock Story Book.”

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Woodville Cemetery with the Rev. William Hargett officiating.

Pallbearers will be C. J. Miller, Charles Browning, Early Sisk, E. | M. Jones, Harry Stephenson and I W. F. Moffett, Jr.
