We hear a lot about sharing, these days. That is an admirable thing, when we have something to share. Someone has said that true beauty is beauty that is shared. Another that a thing of beauty is a joy forever. Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Now I agree with these sayings, but with reservations. I like to share the beauty of my flowering dogwoods with others, 1 don’t want vandals digging them up and transporting them away to distant buyers, that they might enjoy them there.
Why not leave these beautiful trees in their natural habitat, along with other trees that lend beauty to the landscape? What is more thrilling than to travel our winding rural roads, pausing often to admire the view, especially in dogwood season?
The word PIRACY means 'unauthorized appropriation. Can : that term apply to trees? I’m ! afraid that if this condition is not curbed our woodlands will be denuded, and future generations robbed of the beauty we are privileged to enjoy.
ONLY GOD CAN MAKE A TREE. Unprincipled people can destroy in a little while, things God takes centuries to produce.
