Over two million vehicle license plates will be issued during the 1969 Virginia license year beginning M'arch 15 according to a spokesman for the Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles. Virginia motorists may not display 15 68 plates after midnight Apri 1 15.
To purchase new plates the owner of a motor vehicle must have the special application form mailed from Richmond by the Division of Me tor Vehicles. If a motorist has changed his address and has not received his application form, he will most likely not receiv e one unless he contacts the DM V office at 2220 West Broad Stree t in Richmond, giving them a full description of his vehicle and h is old and new address. It is nec essary to have the special application form as licenses cannot he sold from existing titles or 19 68 registration cards.
Motor vehicle owners are reminded that license fees have been pre printed on the applications already mailed to all motor vehicle owneis of record. Vehicle owners having proper insurance should completely fill out the insurance certification of the 1969 application form and sign in all places where indicated on the insurance certif ication and on the registration section. Use the name of your insurance company, not your lgency or group insurance. Having the form completed and the correct fee when you step up to any license window will enable you to get your license plates promptly.
