Mrs. C. B. Johnson is recovering satisfactorily from surgery on Monday in the Lakeland General Hospital, Lakeland, Fla.
The W.M.S. of the Woodville Baptist Church met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Clifton Clarke.
Mrs. Charlie Settle was taken Monday to Culpeper Memorial Hospital for examination and treatment.
Mrs. Raymond Johnson is spending this week in Bowling Green with her sister, Mrs. Joe Payne, whose husband is a patient in a Fredericksburg hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Max Ungar of Norfolk spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Philip Ungar and son Erick. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Johnson entertained the Ungars at dinner.
Larry Conners of Frederick Military Academy, Portsmouth, spent the weekend with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners. On Sunday he accompanied them to Fredericksburg where they were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cline.
Miss Elva Bruce returned home Saturday and is doing well after eye surgery at University of Virginia Hospital.
Roger Lohman of Bowie, Md. spent several days last week at his farm here. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Burke and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Falls spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Burke in Front Royal. Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Jenkins of Fairfax visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Jenkins last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Feaganes of Culpeper and Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Weaver and family were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Coughlin. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jenkins and family of Frederick, Md. were weekend guests of Mrs. Virginia Jenkins. Mrs. F. H. White of Culpeper spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey. Mr. and Mrs. Simon N. Jenkins of Fairfax were Sunday guests of Mrs. Margaret Butler. Miss Virginia Settle spent last week with Mrs. Butler.
