Miss Landra Hopkins Dennis has received a B.S. degree in Secretarial Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, in Richmond. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Dennis and granddaughter of L. H. Luttrell, all of Amissville. She attended and was graduated from Culpeper County High School. Miss Dennis has accepted a position with the trust department of The Bank of Virginia and is residing in Richmond.

Activity the past week in the slow pitch softball league organized in the Amissville area recently shows Viewtown and Warrenton Training Center teams holding their own and Amissville moving into a solid third place stand. Standings May 28 were:
Tri-County Slow Pitch: Viewtown - Won 5, lost 2; Warrenton Training Center • Won 5, lost 3; Amissville - Won 4, lost 4; Charted Industrie* • Won 4, lost 5; Village - Won 1, lost 5.
Results for May 25 • June 1: Amissville 10, Warrenton Training Center 2; Amissville 7, Charted Industries 6; Amissville 6, Charted Industries 1; Viewtown 3, Warrenton Training Center 1; Warrenton Training Center 14, Viewtown 12.

Amissville made her presence felt as she beat Warrenton Training Center 10-2 and Charted Industries twice by the scores of 7-6 and 6-1. The three victories moved Amissville from a tie foi fifth into sole possession of third. She was drawn even closer to the top when Viewtown and Warrenton Training Center split a doubleheader at WTC. Warrenton Training Center won the first by the score of 14-12 and lost the second 3-1. In the only other action, Charted Industries defeated Village 12-10. Li . - i. ■
