Miss Sandra Foster came back *

the first day of June and brightened up this little red building we call the Extension Office. Sandra has completed her second year at Longwood College and her primary responsibility will be to provide leadership for the 4-H summer acttvites. Last summer Sandra won the respect and hearts of our 4-H’ers. And now that she has had experience, we expect even greater accomplishments. Welcome back Sandra.

If you are in the market for a new ram to head up your sheep flock there are two excellent sales coming up this month.

The Eakem Stud Ram Sale will be held at Staunton June 10 and 11. The show starts at 8 a.m. on June 10 and the sale will begin at, 9 a.m. on June 11. There are 74 Dorsets, 73 Hampshires, 80 Suffolk* and 28 Southdown* entered. Consignment have been . made from 18 states and Canada and come from as far west as • Colorado and Oregon. Then the Performance Tested ( Ram Sale will be at Verona on June 17. This sale will offer top , quality Hampshire, Suffolk and Polled Dorset. These rams have 1 completed feeding tests and are 1 being “hardened” off on grass so as to be ready for service when purchased.

At his present rate of eastward migration, the cereal leaf beetle should arrive in Rappahannock either this summer or next. Please help us to help you.
