When the corn’s as high As an elephant’s eye On the Fourth of July, Oh, come and see What there will be At your Librar-ie_ Everyone is invited to Rappahannock Library, Washington, Virginia on the Fourth of July. Here’s what will happen: at 11 o’clock the Library doors will open on two rare and valuable exhibits, a wonderful collection of antique and foreign dolls and a valuable collection o£ rare guns. ''*f? On the Library lawn, you will find a real cannon, two carnival shooting galleries, a Huckley Buck game and candied apples, alt free for the playing and taking. The ladies of Hopewell Baptist Church will serve hot (top, hamburgers, and their good box lunches to visitors with profits going to the church. The Rappahannock Pony Clubbesa will sell lemonade in the shade. At one o’clock the feature of I the day, a musical pageant will ! take place. “The Symbols of. j Liberty” wUl be enacted on steps and lawn of the Library by some forty youngsters. A drum and fife corps and a ballard singer I will also enliven the scene.
The street in front of the Library will be roped off for spectators and parking for cars and horsesf!) will be available, courtesy of George H. Davis, Jr., just behind his and the Mayor’s house. See you at the Library on the 4th!
