Mrs. F. D. Wood, Miss Mary Miller Wood and Miss Frances Wood attended the Commencement exercises Sunday at Staunton Military Academy. Mrs. D. J. Conover and sons Donald J., Jr., and Richard, this year’s graduate and student of S.M.A. returned home with Mrs. Wood Sunday. Mrs. Conover and Richard left Monday for their home in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Donald remained for a visit at Sunnyside.
Guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Payne were Mrs. George Payne and Miss Gladys Payne, Mrs. Ora Layman and Mrs. Lula Payne of Fairfax, Mrs. Vergie Pullen and son Robert of Front Royal. Callers in the afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Payne and daughter Jean of Woodville, Mrs. Warren Settle and children Matthew and Sandra. Russell Racer of Haymarket is spending a few days with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Payne.
