Mrs. Pearl Jolliffe
A funeral service for Mr*. Pearl Settle Jolliffe, 79, of Culpeper was held Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church, conducted by the Rev. Horace B. Jones. Mrs. Jolliffe died May 31, 1970 at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Culpeper, daughter of the late John William and Mary Frances Pierce Settle.
Survivors include six sons: Benjamin F. Jolliffe and Silas L. Jolliffe of Amissville; Richard J. Jolliffe, Hugh W. Jolliffe and Robert E. Jolliffe, all of Culpeper; Fred D. Jolliffe of Fredericksburg; four daughters, Mrs. Raymond T. Jenkins of Mt. Ranier, Md., Mrs. Roy C. Burke, Jr. of Brandy Station, Virginia C. Jolliffe of Culpeper and Mrs. H. Vernon Smith of Orange. Other survivors Include a brother, Biedler Settle of Culpeper; two sisters, Mrs. Barnett Grimsley of Warrenton and Mrs. Catherine Thornhill of Culpeper; twenty grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens with Close Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
