That beginning July 10, 1970, its Emergency Room will not be open from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for the treatment of medical patient*. The doctors serving Front Royal and Warren County have stated because of the shortage in their numbers, they cannot treat effectively and adequately their private patients and also the patients utilizing the Emergency Room. Surgical patients will continue to be treated in the Emergency Room as in the past.

The Board of Trustees of Warren Memorial Hospital is grateful for the many years of untiring and unselfish service which the doctors have provided and regrets that this shortage of doctors has necessitated this action and hopes that twentyfour hour emergency service can be restored in the near future.
