Sets Meet9g Sept. 29
The Rappahannock Elementary School P.T.A. will hold its first meeting, Tuesday, September 29 at 8 p.m. The year’s program will be reviewed at that time, the theme being “P.T.A. — Yesterday, Tosday and Tomorrow”. The featured speaker for the evening will be announced later.
A membership drive will be conducted in October with the hope that all interested citizens will become involved in the P.T.A.
Supervisors Change
Meeting Date Again
A special meeting of the Rappahannock County Board ol Supervisors was held Tuesday morning at the courthouse ir Washington. Primary items on the agenda were refuse system for the county and the meeting day foi the Board.
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Updike ol Culpeper, proprietors of the County TVash Removal Company Inc., submitted a proposal for the collection of trash ir Rappahannock including service available and costs. This is being perused and considered along with that of the present company rendering this service.
The Board chose the first Thursday in each month for the regular meeting day of the group with the hour remaining at 10 a.m. Proper publication was requested.
An appeal of Judge Harold Purcell’s decision in the Noce vs Clatterbuck zoning case was authorized and the Commonwealth’s Attorney was given authority to associate with and employ the law firm ol McCandlish, Lillard and Marsh tc assist in the appeal on behalf ol the county.
