Mr. ana Mrs. James Thornton Childs of Vienna, Virginia announce the marriage of their daughter, Donna Marie, to Maury Wattson Kilby, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Maury Wattson Kilby of Wytheville, Virginia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Kilby of Sperryville. The wedding took place on Saturday, August 29,1970 at two o’clock in the afternoon at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Reverend Richard C. Benninghove.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full length gown of white organza and lace. The bodice of lace was designed with Juliett sleeves and the scalloped neckline was trimmed with seed pearls. Appliqued embroidered lace daisies centered with seed pearls decorated the full skirt which fell from the Empire waistline and ended in a train. Johnson, Jr. Prizes were awarded Mrs. Reeve, Mrs. Kilby and Mrs. Haggerty.
