Stanton Powell Jenkins
Stanton Powell Jenkins, 63, ot Culpeper, a dairy fanner, died September 15, 1970 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Rappahannock, the son of the late Lindsey Powell Jenkins and Caroline Weakley Jenkins, and had lived at Slate Mills at one time and also in Chantilly.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Martha Carder Jenkins; a daughter, Mrs. Grady Jefferson of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Jenkins of Sperryville, Mrs. W. H. Kilby of Culpeper and Mrs. Ethel Jenkins, Alexandria; two brothers, Fountain Jenkins of Etlan and Simon Jenkins, Fairfax.
He was a member of the Slate Mills Baptist Church.
A funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Geest Funeral Chapel in Culpeper and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Leroy Stevenson Freeman
Leroy Stevenson Freeman, 17, of Washington, Va. died Sunday, September 13, 1970 of injuries sustained in a traffic crash on Route 211 in Rappahannock County.
He was the son of Mrs. Margaret Freeman and the late Jack Leroy Freeman.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Carr of Baltimore, Md., the Misses Denise, Marian, and Teresa Freeman, all at home two brothers, Charles and Glenn Freeman, both at home. Alsc surviving are a number of uncles and aunts.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. al First Baptist Church, Washington Va., conducted by Rev. Robert Pringle. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
