Thursday evening, Sept. 17, at 8 o’clock has been set for the next meeting of the Bi-County Arts and Crafts Club at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard J. Waddell. The subject will be “Sewing Problems”. Bring a zipper and fabric or whatever you are working on. Anyone having a special sewing problem they want covered, please phone Mrs. Waddell, 825-2606 before Thursday night.
Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Sr., Mrs. Jean Sisk, Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. Butler and daughters and Mrs. Olive Butler were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Thornhill and family of Culpeper. Other dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Stevens E. Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Markwood Butler of Manassas, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Butler of Springfield; Mr. and Mrs. George Butler, Jr. and family of Culpeper and the Rev. John McKay of Griffinsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Earl Carder, Jonita, Cecil Earl, Jr. and Jeanette Carder, recently moved into the home formerly owned by Mrs. R. W. Quaintance, Sr. at Slate Mills. Jonita left Wednesday to attend Sweet Briar College at Sweet Briar, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Carder are returned missionaries from Thailand.
