Panther Tales

So passes another great week at R.C.H.S. Anyone can see as they pass through the halls each day that the old spirit has returned. Hie 8th, 9th, and 11th grade students have had tests all week while the Sophomores and Seniors enjoyed a week of relaxation.

Although these tests have been going on the students have still continued to have fun. If you don’t believe that ask Miss Morgan how her black boards were washed Thursday.

The Annual Staff is really on the go this year. They have already held several meetings to sell patron ads. They also made some decisions on the theme and other parts of the year book. The cheerleaders held a meeting to decide the outfits for this year’s season and started practice Wednesday. Last year was a tough one for the Panthers but we intend to make up for it this year. TTie S.C.A. and Senior class are also on the go. They held meetings Tuesday to bring out many important ideas. The Juniors will start selling candy soon and will appreciate your patronage. If you really want to hear about what’s going on at R.C.H.S. continue next week. There’s always more news to come.

Mrs. Maaaie Hostess For Dessert Bridge Mrs. Thomas B. Massie entertained with Dessert Bridge Tuesday night in honor of her houseguest Mrs. William William Jennings of Burlington, N. C. Others present were Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. E. M. Jones, Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., Mrs. F. W. Spalding, Mrs. T. L. Eastham, Mrs. Michael Bentley, Mrs. T. C. Lea and Mrs. Henry M. Keyser. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Jennings, Mrs. Lea, Mrs. Flynt and Mrs. Bentley.
