What does Coach Toth get out of it? He says “Satisfaction in competition, and identification with the team having been a track runner myself”. He calls for next year to be a “super-season” with a “trophy laden” team.
“Dedication, unselfishness and hard work sum up the team”, says Mr. Wingfield. Mr. Patterson said “Amen! ”
I think I can say for the school and community that thanks and congratulations go to the State Champion Rappahannock Cross Country Team!
Motorist Strikes Cali
A motorist struck and killed a calf Saturday night on Route 522 near Flint Hill. Roy Daniel Jackson of Culpeper, operating a 1966 Plymouth, struck the animal about 10:30 p.m. He was not injured but damage to his car was estimated at $250. The calf which belonged to Mrs. Fannie Eastham was valued at $150. Trooper W. A. Buntin investigated the wreck.
