Matthew Owings, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rapley Owings, celebrated his first birthday Thursday, November 11 with a party. Present were Mr. Owings sister Mrs. Lark Smith of Falls Church, Mrs. John Alexander of Flint Hill and Dabney Eastham of Huntly.

Those from out of town who joined a group of Flint Hill folk for a covered dish dinner at the fire hall Sunday included Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lee of Washington, Va.; Roberty Sealock and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Keyser, Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Nalls, Warrenton; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Corbin of Hartwood; Mrs. Ertha Corbin and Mrs. Charlotte Sealock of Falls Church, and their families. W.S.C.S. of Flint Hill United Methodist Church will meet Monday, November 22 at the home of Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. at 7:30 p.m.
