Ruritan events planned

AMESSVILLE RURITAN CLUB is sponsoring a public supper which will be served Saturday, April 1 and the following day the club has scheduled a community Easter egg hunt. Plans foj? both were made at the March 15 dinner meeting of the group.

The supper April 1 will feature country ham and turkey and will be served at the Amissville fire hall.

Sunday, April 2, the bunny will hide about 900 eggs at tiie carnival grounds for youngsters of the community to hunt.

Speaker for the regular Ruritan meeting was ,, Extension Agent Rapley Owings whose topic was * the youth of Rappahannock County. A recent survey taken by the Extension Service indicated that major concerns of the young people are schools, highways and community.

Owings introduced Troy Baker, Jackson District co-captain of the County Clean Up Campaign Day which is set for April 8. Troy told of plans for the community clean up and requested the Ruritans to volunteer assistance, which they did. □
