Traffic mishaps
Two minor traffic mishaps have been reported this week by investigating officer R.A. Baines.
John G. Burnham of Boston lost control of his 64 Chevrolet pickup and struck a tree. He was not injured and damage was set at $75.
William Edward Settle of Elkwood struck a deer on Route 522 north of Flint Hill Sunday night. Damage to his vehicle was estimated at $150. □
4-H meets
The fifth grade 4-H meeting was called to order on March 15 by the president, Julia Gordon.
After a song from the song leader, the secretary read the minutes of the last meeting. The vice president, Kim Gilkey, talked to the group about Share-TheFun and the Culpeper Farm Show. A discussion was held on the county-wide clean up on April 8. □
