Mrs. Catherine Brown of Sperryville announces the engagement of her daughter, Shirley Gayle, to Dr. Lawrence M. Kushner, son of Mrs. Mary Kushner of Flushing, N.Y. Miss Brown is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is presently employed at the National Bureau of Standards in Washington, D.C. Dr. Kushner is a graduate of Queens College and Princeton University and is the Deputy Director of the National Bureau of Standards. The wedding will take place in June.
