Mrs. Compton
Mrs. Bertha Clay Compton, 82, the widow of Floyd Ellis Compton of Washington, died March 15, 1972 in Winchester Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of LaGrange, Ga., the daughter of the late Edward W. Hudson and Anna M. Hudson. She was a member of the Washington United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Jessie Rowzie of Washington.
A funeral service was held at the Washington United Methodist Church Saturday, March 18 with the Rev. Jerry Campbell officiating, assisted by Rev. A.D. Goodson. Burial was in Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton. □
