Among Virginia well-wishers who attended the swearingin last Thursday of Secretary of the Navy John W. Warner was Rappahannock resident Adm. J. M. Gardiner. Warner is a resident of Atoka, near Upperville, and is widely known throughout the area through his interest in racing activities. Warner was one of the judges at this year’s Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point.
