New farm pond
courses urged
A newly formed advisory group has recommended that the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University expand its research and extension programs in farm pond management, and add to its staff a trained fish culturist.
The recommendation was made by a sub-committee on fisheries, through the Advisory Committee to the Division of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, at its first meeting in Blacksburg on May 3 and 4.
