Downing McCoy returned to his home on Mt. Salem Avenue last Thursday after an appendectomy performed at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Dr. and Mrs. Brooke Moffett and daughter of Norfolk were houseguests during the weekend of Mrs. B.M. Miller and also visited Dr. Moffett’s mother Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett. On Sunday Mrs. Miller entertained with a dinner in honor of Mrs. Moffett’s birthday. Other guests included Col. and Mrs. E.A. McNear of Greenwood. Afternoon guests were Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Miller, Mrs. W.M. Fletcher and Mrs. W.C. Campbell. Mrs. Moffett returned to Norfolk with her son on Monday for a visit.
Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Robinson and children of Alexandria were luncheon guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Miller at Hampton Inn. Mr. Robinson conducted the morning service at Trinity Episcopal Church due to the illness of the rector Mr. William Hargett.
Mrs. Lyman Jacobsen and daughter Laura of South Paris, Me. were overnight guests Friday ofMrs.H.M. Keyser, and were joined on Saturday night by Miss Judith Jacobsen of the College of William and Mary who returned to South Paris with her mother on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sentz of Washington, D. C. spent the holiday weekend at their home in Tiger Valley.
