THE FACULTY of Rappahannock County High School received a pleasant surprise when they were feted with a Teachers Appreciation Day on May 17. The event, termed a great success, featured an assembly, a luncheon, students dressed up for the occasion, and each teacher was given a red and white carnation.
Although some teachers had an inkling of the treat in store for them, most were surprised—and pleased that the student body showed its appreciation by dressing up and being extra nice.
The S.C.A. sponsored the luncheon, which included some guests and Rappahannock County School Superintendent O. A. Norton.
Combined with the Appreciation Day Assembly were speeches by the candidates for officers of the S.C.A. for next year.
