Congratulations! Dr. Mort Hughes.
I was pleased to read the article carried in a recent edition of your fine paper, announcing the retirement from the medical profession of Dr. John M. (Mort) Hughes.
Dr. Hughes most surely has realized a great degree of satisfaction in the long and useful span of service he has given to the art of dentistry.
This'news item was of particular interest to me, because previous to his entering the field of medicine, Mr. Mort —the name we best like to remember him by — taught school in a small one room schoolhouse near the Forest Grove Church in the Viewtown area. And my very first experience in a public school, was to meet Mr. Mort Hughes, The Teacher.
