would like to ask what gives these particular supervisors the qualifications to condemn the standards set forth by the State Board of Education as “far out,” and to say that their program is “foolish?” A certainly do not wish it to seem that I advocate blind endorsement of all actions by state agencies, but I do expect those charged with the government of Rappahannock County to refrain from making rash and irresponsible public statements which are unsupported by either fact or expertise.
To reject or accept any program and to make public pronouncements about it without a thorough study of the details and feasibility is “foolish” and indeed “far out”! This is certainly not what I want to see in
