A stand of pines, a reforestation project on the property of Capt. L.B. Stuart at Amissville, is being thinned to enhance growth of the timber. Every third row is being harvested for pulpwood and the remainder will be left to continue its growth. By thinning the trees improvement will be made in both diameter and height of growth as well as straight lines of timber.
