DURING 10 Bloodmobile visits, 676 pints of blood were collected; 31 Volunteers worked at the Hospital, the Nursing Home and Vint Hill Dispensary; 387 people were taught First Aid by 18 volunteer instructors; 240 people were taught Water Safety by 14 volunteer instructors; 157 people, who felt that they were eligible for Food Stamps, were offered assistance in applying for this benefit.
Thirty-six bags of small Christmas gifts were sent to servicemen in Vietnam; 28 volunteer organizations in both counties, plus 29 individuals contributed through the Red Cross 6000 home baked cookies, 52 hand made stuffed toys, 205 bedside decorations and numerous comfort articles for adult and children patients in area military hospitals. □
