The track team has already had its first competition. Wednesday they met with Page County and Luray. Results from this meet were not available. All meets begin at 4 p.m. and a schedule will be found at the end of this column.
The girls track team has several meets scheduled and are looking forward to a good season.
Cadet Harry Byrd, a representative from West Point, spoke to a group of students last Thursday. To those who were interested, he showed slides of the campus and told the boys “how it was.”
The S.C.A. met Tuesday and planned a spring dance for the student body. Friday the 13th is the date set and dress will be casual. Carry your rabbit’s foot and plan to attend. It should be. another great one.
The S.C.A" also discussed possibilities for the use of their money. A worthwhile school project is generally chosen and financed. Results will soon be finalized.
The first week in April is National Future Homemakers Week and the Rappahannock F.H.A. chapter met Thursday to plan activities for its observation. The week will be concluded with an apple pie baking contest which also coincides with the spring Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester. Those lucky judges!!!
