More than 60,000 junk automobiles have been picked up and recycled in Virginia since June 1972, according to a survey just completed by Keep Virginia Beautiful, the statewide litter prevention organization with headquarters in Richmond. The survey also revealed that over 400 organized litter cleanupbeautification campaigns were conducted in the cities, counties and communities of Virginia during the past fifteen months.
