HIGHLIGHTING the series of fall events sponsored annually by the Madison County Wildlife Association, the Fox Drag Race and Horn Blowing Contest is set for Saturday, November 24, nearing the conclusion of a Thanksgiving holiday for many.
With the excitement scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the A. Lawton Blankenbaker farm, one and one-half miles eastofHaywood on the Hoover Road, participants from the county and out of county are welcomed to enter the competition.
Contestants are asked to have dogs at the hunt site by 9 a.m. for numbering, and as an added safety measure, all dogs should be on leashes.
