W.A. SPILLMAN, JR., president of Culpeper Farmers’ Cooperative, Inc., has announced that the Board of Directors of the Co-operative has unanimously selected Taylor E. Gore to be the new general manager of Culpeper Farmers’ Co-operative, succeeding James E. Cornett. Gore will assume the position of general manager on January 15, and Cornett will serve in a management advisory capacity until his retirement in March of 1974. Cornett has also agreed to serve as management counsel to to the new general manager and board of directors from March, 1974, until March, 1975.
Taylor E. Gore is a native of Culpeper County and is a graduate of Culpeper High School. He attended classes at University of Virginia Extension, completed the Agri-business Executive’s Program at Cornell University at Ithaca, New York, and has attended a number of Agribusiness related courses and seminars.
Gore has been employed by Culpeper Farmers’ Cooperative since 1956 and
