ALL RAPPAHANNOCK county farmers with feed grain and wheat allotments have been mailed a leaflet with information about disaster payments under the 1974 farm program, according to Thomas R. Taylor, Chairman, Rappahannock County ASC Committee.
He explained that disaster payments are available this year for the first time if feed grain and wheat allotment production is lost or substantially damaged by natural disaster. Such payments are not meant to compensate a farmer fully for the loss, the ASCS official said, but can provide some income following a major crop loss.
