Chuck B. Sigler, Jr., left, Chief Ranger of Shenandoah National Park, was presented a $25 Incentive Award check by Superintendent Bob Jacobsen at the July 3 staff meeting. The award was made for his accepted suggestion for the use of bolted metal bars for temporary safety protection of open gunports. This suggestion was submitted while Mr. Sigler was serving as Superintendent of Christiansted National Historic Site, Virgin Islands. The Superintendent also extended to Sigler a special welcome back to Shenandoah as he has been attending the Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy in Quantico, for the past four months.
