“I expect I’ll stay busy with some odd-and-end jobs,” Atkins said. “And I have a head or two of calves that I can spend some time with. My wife’s been taking care of them for me and I thought it was time to give her a rest.”
“Sometimes those kids were aggravating, when I had to scoop up ice cream or a bottle of pop off the gym floor,” he said. “But they were good to me and I’ll miss them.”
