Beginning Wednesday, July 10 at 8:30 p.m. Trooper W. A. Buntin investigated a wreck almost daily. On Route 211 two miles east of Sperryville a 69 Ford van operated by James Allen of DeLand, Fla. and James W. Butler, Jr. of Faver, Va. operating a 70 Chevrolet were involved in a collision.
Allen stopped in the right lane of the highway and Butler ran into the rear of his vehicle. Allen was cited for stopping on the highway illegally. Damage was set at $100 to the Allen van and at $600 to Butler’s

Route 211 about a mile west of Amissville a tractor-trailer rig sideswiped an auto while passing. George Douglas Jackson of ^Amissville in a 66 Chevrolet was struck as Thomas Wayne Chadduck of Falls Church attempted to pass in a 73 Kenworth tractor. He struck the rear of the Jackson vehicle with damage estimated at $350. The tractor damage was set at $50 and Chadduck was charged by Trooper Buntin for illegal passing.
TWO VEHICLES met on a narrow dirt road July 17 on Route 707 eight miles south of Sperry ville. Lyndall Lorainne Clark of Sperry ville in a 74 Ford pickup and Barton William Boucher of Alexandria in a 68 Opel were involved. Damage was set at $350 to Clark and at $300 to Boucher’s vehicle.
