AMISSVILLE fire and rescue personnel, with the aid of area citizens, opened their four-night benefit carnival Wednesday night at the grounds located west of Amissville. The event will continue through Saturday and will be highlighted by a large parade tonight, Thursday. Parade time is 6:o0 p.m.
A contest for carnival queen is in progress and a coronation is scheduled for Friday evening. The young miss who is succesful in her bid for the title will act as honorary fire chief for the next year, representing these volunteer organization in parades and other public functions.
