THE WEEK at Powell’s Fort 4-H Camp provided an opportunity for new fun • and learning experiences. The campers made many new friends during the week. For some, this week was their first experience at being away from home.
Rappahannock County took about 40 campers, three junior leaders— Carolyn Beahm, Mary Jordan and Curtis Nichols — one adult leader, Miss Ann Speaker, and two Virginia Tech Extension Agents Rap Owings and Mrs. Llewellyn S. Allison.
Campers Sherry Settle and Richard Beck were Big Chiefs for their tribes. Curtis Nichols was big “Ish-Kay-Tay” of the Camp fire circle. The boys and girls returned to the Extension Office on Saturday. □
