Oestreich read a letter from Dr. LeGarde in which he expressed the fear that development of the hundreds of recorded lots in Madison County for second homes posed a threat to the water supply, since many of the lots were small and pit privies and wells would be built close together.
Phil Irwin asked that the Planning Commission go on record in support of Dr. LeGarde. Pete Luke said he’d like to check into the matter a bit more before county officials write any letter of support. — Pekay Pettus □
