Hunting report
With approximately half the big game season over, hunters in Rappahannock County have been quite successful, according to Game Warden Jim Bankston. After canvassing the game checking stations this week, the tally stands at 230 for deer, ten turkeys and two bear.
The Flint Hill area appears to be the most productive for deer, with Washington running a close second. Washington has recorded the only bear checked in Rappahannock with one killed here and checked in Page County. Amissville leads the county in turkeys with five checked there.
