Davis reminded the Supervisors that rezoning is not approval of anything but the right of the person to subdivide. It doesn’t “in and of itself approve any particulars.” Davis said the Supervisors could not officially approve any plan until the land had been rezoned and that the rezoning request could not be acted upon, under state law, until a public hearing had been advertised for and held.

IN A livestock compensation case, Dog Warden Jack Bruce was instructed to get together withy Herbert Foster and Herbert Bark - sdale and come up with a fair payment for two eight-week-old pigs belonging to J. R. Latham that were killed by dogs.

The Supervisors set June 3 as the date for a public hearing on the proposed abandonment of approximately 75 yards of Route 642. They voted to approve Mrs. Senmes and Ian Pride for appointment to the library board and nominated Registrar Mary Cleverly to serve as liason officer with the Census Department.

Dave Fannon was reappointed for a four year term to the Planning Commission and the supervisors voted to accept a low bid of $139.50 for an adding machine requested by Judge Carson for the General District Court. □
