INCOME TAX WORKSHOP—You are invited to the Income Tax Workshop next Tuesday, January 11, at the Episcopal Church Parish Hall in Washington, Va. Area Extension Farm Management Agents, Bruce Little and Allen Boyer will review considerations to keep in mind in preparing your taxes, tax changes, or information you should have available for the person who prepares your income taxes. Program for general public is from 10 a.m. to Noon.
The afternoon session 1 to 3 p.m. is primarily for those interested in farm income tax problems. Of course, there will be time in both sessions for individual questions and answers.
YOUNG FRUIT TREE PRUNING DEMONSTRATION—Ed. Phillips, V.P.I. Extension Horticulturist, will demonstrate how to prune young apple, peach, pear and apricot trees at Mrs. E. A. Harris’ Farm, 1 p.m. Thursday, January 13. This demonstration is primarily for people who have a few fruit trees around the home and would like to learn how to do a better job of pruning.
Take Route 522 north of Flint Hill to Foster’s apple packing house, turn East on Route 637, keep going until you see a pruning demonstration sign.
