The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Company recently purchased another piece of firefighting apparatus. This truck needs equipment in order to operate efficiently. Volunteers of the company will be canvassing the area after January 9 for funds for this much needed equipment. All persons wishing to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Fire and Rescue Service may do so at any time. It is hoped through your contributions to upgrade the service to the community. □

Bill N. Scoggin of Washington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Scoggin, has been named to the president’s list for the fall semester 1976. He is majoring in animal husbandry and has a 3.793 average out of a possible 4.000. Bill was a 1975 graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
