the Orange County Board of Supervisors. He also served as President of the Virginia Court Clerks Association of which he was an active member until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and served on its vestry for many years. He also was a member of many civic orgranization including the Orange County Histroical Society and the James Madison Museum to which he contributed his vast knowledge of county history. A portrait was dedicated in his honor by the Circuit Couty of Orange County in 1984 and placed in the Orange County Courthouse.
Funeral services were held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Caroline Street in Orange on Tuesday, Jan. 4.
Iterment with full military honors followed at Graham Cemetery with the Reir. W. Ramsey Richardson officiating.

Agnes Seymour
Agnes Lola Seymour, 100, of Front Royal, died Sunday, Jan. 2 at Oak Springs in Warrenton.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the TumerRobertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. Darrell Bare.
Burial will be in Prospect Hillij Cemetery.
Mrs. Seymour was bom Nov. 8, 1893, in Boyce, daughter of the late William Scott arid Anna Elizabeth Holmes Davis.
She was the wife of the late William Welton Seymour.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald Earl Seymour and Claude S. Seymour, both of Front Royal; two daughters, Mildred Muddiman of Manassas and Katherine M. Capino of Hampton; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frank Vitalos, Richard Capino, Sam Capino Jr., David Pearson, Ronnie Stuart and Pete Jenkins.
The family will receive friends- ' Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
William Willis
William “Willie” Franklin Willis, 83, of Front Royal, died Saturday, Jan. 1 at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Winchester.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in First Assembly of God Church in Front

Burial will be in Williams Family Cemetery in Chester Gap.
Mr. Willis was bom Dec. 24, 1910, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Walter C. and Mary Riley • Willis. He was a retired carpenter and attended the First Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are his wife, Weltie Mae Willis; three brothers, Richard Willis of Florida, James Edward Willis of Front Royal and Gilbert Willis of Alexandria; and two sisters, Frances Sealock of Laurel, Md., and Betty Grissom of Manassas. «»
Pallbearers will be William Polk, Charles franklin, Jeff Henry, Tommy dtuser, Albert Wines and Russell Henry.
