who came in on Dec. 30. The two, five week old puppies were left at the Scrabble Dump to freeze and starve to death. A kind gentleman found the pups, wrapped them in a warm shirt, and brought them to me at the Shelter.
They were almost frozen, starving, and full of mange. I immediately sent them to Dr. Clarke in Luary for medical attention. Dr. Clarke informed me later that afternoon the puppies were improving. They were eating like littre pigs, given their shots, wormed, and dipped for mange. We are all praying the pair will live to be healthy dogs. Thanks to two very special ladies-Shelby and Doris-the puppies will be fostered in a loving and safe fome until they are well enough to be adopted.
If people would only spay or neuter their pets, they wouldn’t have to give or throw away unwanted offspring. Spaying or neutering is a one-time permanent thing that saves hundreds of lives.
I can’t imagine the type of person who would throw away two living, helpless creatures when they are unable to fend for themselves. I would like for that person to know that what goes around, comes around, and God sees everything, and forgets nothing.
