H. helix ’Baltica’ is a particularly hardy variety with smaller leaves that the common form. H. helix ’Buttercup’ foliage becomes chartreuse as the leaves age through the growing season. The young terminal shoots of English Ivy often turn bronze or brown-red in color when the weather turns sharply cold. Using English ivy in holiday decorations addds delicated touches of green and brown-red to the arrangements.
