After much discussion, a bill presented by surveyor John Baumgardner was approved for payment. The bill had exceeded his original estimate for doing the town’s survey by a considerable amount, according to Mayor Stewart Willis.
Mr. Baumgardner was at the meeting and explained that much more was required for the survey than he had originally thought. He will be available at several more town council meetings to answer questions anyone has about the survey.
Before the next town council meeting on Dec. 13, council member Ray Gooch and town attorney Frank Reynolds will meet w ith Mr. Baumgardner to go over any problem points having to do with the survey for discussion at the next meeting.
