A burglary at the Ben Venue Market on U.S. 211 was reported to the Sheriff s Office on the morning of Nov. 7.
According to Major Ed Streapy, entrance was gained to the premises by breaking a pane of glass in the east side window of the market. Taken were 15 cartons of cigarettes, three large containers of luncheon meat, mustard, and $942 cash. Major Streapy was not able to determine if any sandwich bread was taken but he thinks it is highly probable.
